Watch out for a scam going around, Luke's mum just got called, 9Luke is my mate) which is why i'm telling you... they claimed they were for microsoft and said her computer was compramised and to do the following to fix it... Which installs spybot software on it, getting all your details etc.. so if anyone calls from Microsoft, unless you have opened a customer support ticket with microsoft, they wil NOT call you - so when a person, usually Pakistan or Indian call you saying... your machine is being monitored either by Microsoft or by their anti-virus provider, and an infection has been detected. or it's been compromised, thel them to GET FKED -
The caller then offers to walk the customer through the steps needed to fix the (non-existent) problem. The instructions provided install remote control software on the machine, making it usable as part of a bot network and also potentially allowing it to track personal details such as account numbers or passwords.
